Shared Ministries

Whitewater Valley Presbytery’s Shared Ministries are supported by the churches of the Presbytery through the Shared Mission Focus budget.

Amistad, Fort Wayne

Amistad Cristana began in 2011 as a new church development of Whitewater Valley Presbytery with the hope of establishing a new congregation in the Petit-Rudisill neighborhood of Fort Wayne. This ministry has morphed and adapted since its inception. Today, Amistad is a bilingual (Spanish/English) new worshipping community, lead by a full-time PC(USA) pastor. In 2025, Whitewater Valley Presbytery has allocated $87,000 for this ministry.

Circle City Dinner Church

Circle City Dinner Church is a movement of the Holy Spirit for planting a new worshiping community on the Near Eastside of Indianapolis. It is a part of the initiative of the Presbyterian Church (USA) to develop innovative ways of birthing new communities that are more effective in reaching out and making disciples in a changing, more diverse culture. It has the hope of calling together a racially and culturally diverse people to form a worshiping community that can positively impact the Near Eastside.

Westminster Neighborhood Services

Westminster Neighborhood Services, located on the Near Eastside of Indianapolis, is dedicated to empowering youth and families by providing educational support, access to basic needs, and fostering community connections. Their comprehensive programs include a food pantry, soup kitchen, and afterschool initiatives, all aimed at strengthening the community and supporting residents in reaching their full potential. In 2025, Whitewater Valley Presbytery has allocated $19,380 for this ministry.

Hispanic Ministries Lead Team

Hispanic Ministries Lead Team within the Whitewater Valley Presbytery is dedicated to serving and empowering Hispanic churches and leaders locally, in Mexico, and in the Dominican Republic. They do this through evangelism/discipleship, church planting, and leadership development. In 2025, Whitewater Valley Presbytery has allocated $7,600 for this ministry.

PYOCA Camp and Retreat Center

Located in the serene woodlands of Brownstown, Indiana, PYOCA Camp and Retreat Center is a sacred space where all are welcome to experience God’s love through creation, community, and spiritual growth. As a ministry of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), PYOCA offers year-round programming for youth, families, and church groups, including summer camps, retreats, and mission opportunities.  In 2025, Whitewater Valley Presbytery has allocated $39,450 for this ministry.
