Catalyst Collaborative
The Catalyst Collaborative is Whitewater Valley Presbytery’s comprehensive initiative to renew congregations, cultivate emerging leaders, and inspire new expressions of ministry across central and eastern Indiana.
Rooted in the presbytery’s mission—“Whitewater Valley Presbytery seeks to be a catalyst for equipping leaders to inspire healthy, bold, and Christ-centered communities”—the Collaborative brings together strategic congregational renewal, leadership development, and new worshipping community formation into one shared vision for the future.
Through programs such as Strategic Planning Facilitation, congregations are guided in discerning mission, clarifying vision, and developing actionable ministry plans tailored to their unique contexts, while the Congregational Ministry Fellowship equips emerging leaders through mentored, hands-on ministry experiences within local churches.
Together with initiatives supporting church planting and collaborative leadership, the Catalyst Collaborative reflects the presbytery’s commitment to being expansive, collaborative, creative, and innovative as it strengthens congregations and equips leaders for faithful ministry in a changing world.

Congregation Ministry Fellowship
The Congregational Ministry Fellowship is a cohort-based leadership development program that helps emerging leaders explore a call to ministry through hands-on experience, mentorship, and vocational discernment. Open to college students and those discerning a call to ministry as a second career, these internships are funded two-thirds by Whitewater Valley Presbytery. Fellows serve in local congregations, deepen their faith, reflect alongside peers, and gain practical experience in Christ-centered leadership and ministry.
Strategic Planning Facilitation
Strategic Planning Facilitation helps congregations discern God's call for their future through mission exploration, visioning, and strategic planning. Whether navigating a pastoral transition or seeking renewal and revitalization, churches are guided through prayerful reflection, assessment of their context, and collaborative leadership conversations. Together, leaders and members develop practical, actionable plans that align ministry priorities, resources, and mission for the years ahead.

New Worshipping Communities

New Worshiping Communities are innovative faith communities that connect with people who may not find a home in traditional church settings. Rooted in discipleship, community, and mission, these ministries create new opportunities for people to encounter Christ, grow in faith, and build meaningful relationships. Through fresh approaches to worship and ministry, they share God's love in ways that are relevant to the communities they serve.
