Commission on Preparation
The Commission on Preparation for Ministry (CPM) of Whitewater Valley Presbytery is made up of Ruling and Teaching Elders called to walk alongside individuals discerning a call to pastoral ministry as ordained Ministers of the Word and Sacrament or Commissioned Ruling Elders. Guided by prayer, collective wisdom, and the leading of the Holy Spirit, CPM supports and encourages those exploring this call.
When a call is affirmed, CPM enters into a covenant relationship with the individual, providing care and guidance through the personal, spiritual, educational, and professional stages of preparation. The Presbytery follows the Preparation for Ministry Advisory Handbook of the PC(USA) as its foundational guide, ensuring clarity, consistency, and a strong framework for forming faithful and effective leaders for the church.
