Grants
There are various grants available to support and strengthen the ministries of our congregations, leaders, and communities. Through these resources, we aim to encourage innovation, nurture spiritual growth, and equip our churches to respond faithfully to the needs around them.
CATALYST Grants 2.0
for Neighborhood Relief
Whitewater Valley Presbytery announces a matching grant of up to $500 for Neighborhood Relief Support in 2026. Congregations are invited to apply for this grant, demonstrating partnership with their own emergency relief programs or with a partnering neighborhood entity which meets immediate needs. Grants would need to be spent by December 31, 2026 and congregations receiving a grant would be required to submit a brief follow up report to the Presbytery about this grant (and the Catalyst Mini Grant of 2025, if not already submitted).
WVP Mission & Partnership
Whitewater Valley Presbytery supports session-approved initiatives for innovation and revitalization. These grants are intended to foster collaboration, creativity, and connection—ideally encouraging partnerships with neighboring churches and community organizations. Technology upgrading grants are also available.
Smock Foundation
The Smock Foundation offers grants to promote the health, welfare and happiness of Indiana Presbyterians in need of support, focusing on senior Presbyterians.

Lilly Sabbatical
The Lilly Endowment has supported opportunities for teachers, pastors, artists, human service workers, and youth workers to step away from their daily responsibilities for intentional reflection and renewal. These grants are rooted in a strong belief in the value of sabbatical—a dedicated time to restore physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual resources.
