Indianapolis--Southminster P.C.We are "doing worship" by audio recording a shortened service (liturgy,prayer, scripture, sermon) on our website, southminsterindy.com. and including a previously recorded choir song. We have delivered CD recordings to older members who do not have access to the website. We are also considering doing "live stream" but have not decided to do that yet.
We are staying connected with members of our congregation by email and robocall and Facebook announcements, a daily devotional by email, personal phone calls by deacons and the pastor. The pastor, administrative assistant, and custodian are for the most part keeping regular hours. We have had to close our daycare and preschool at least until April 20th. As a session we are keeping in contact by email and have had one special meeting by conference call. We have encouraged members and other regular attendees to continue giving to the church, advising them of alternative ways they can make their gifts (online banking, Zelle, US mail) |
