We are staying connected by our weekly ecall and monthly newsletter sent via email. Pastor Wally sends out letters to the congregation each week as well. The few people who do not have email, we mail these documents to so they can stay up to date with the church. The Care of Parish committee, and some others, keep in contact regularly by phone with some of the elderly, shut-ins, and other members to ensure they are doing well and have everything they need. We are encouraging the ones who give on a regular basis to mail their tithes to the church. The church office is closed mostly, but the office administrator is working from home to keep lines of communication open, with days here and there at the office to make deposits, do payroll, and pay bills. I don’t know if it is creative or interesting, but committees and session are continuing with their meetings online via “Zoom”. |
